Lentils pot for a real joy

Vegetarian, Bento, Cuisine, Recipes, Zoé

Dinner
-Lentil pots
-Rice
-Kohlrabi and nut seasoning

Tonight, I was feeling lonely and shuffled through my cupboards to see what was left. I’m not buying long life ingredients when I finish them as we are going to leave at the end of next month. I found these forgotten lentils and dreamed of an easy heart warming hot lentils pots with white Arborio rice toped with my favourite homemade furitake.
When, Bear came back home tired from a hard day at work, he gently made himself comfortable in my arms and appreciated this little quickly made and so easy meal full with love. Maybe this is the mysterious ingredient which made this lentil pot so tasty?

Sort of minced meat (seitan)

Vegetarian, Bento, Cuisine, Recipes, Zoé

Dinner
-Minced seitan
-Cauliflower and broccoli stir
-Spinach with mushrooms

The hot Polish summer days seem to be always followed by stormy rainy nights. Even in week-ends. I came back tired from a medieval battle reconstitution at Grunenwald and a three hours swim in a cold lake. I needed some fulfilling food to help me fight back the little cold which seemed to show up. So, as I had a little time yesterday night I prepared some minced meat substitute based on seitan and tofu. The result was really nice especially with some really tasteful veggies. What could we hope for more?

Cheese cake, Daring bakers (truly late)

Vegetarian, Bento, Cuisine, Recipes, Zoé

Lunch
-Spinach and mushrooms
-Potato and aubergine pots
-Cheese cake

I realised that I hadn’t posted April’s Daring bakers. Well I’m forgiveable as it was just before my so hard month travelling through France. I did my tour de France not on a bike but with trains.
I like cheese cakes and lately I tasted quite a few with some of Bear’s colleagues. I’m more used to non-baked cheese cake, therefore I was quite proud to achieve a cooked cheese cake with an oaty crunchy bottom. So great, Bear asked me quite a few time to redo it this is why I do post it now.

Carving for veggies

Vegetarian, Bento, Cuisine, Recipes, Zoé

Dinner
-Bulka with creamy cheese and kiwi
-Salad made of red cabbage, apple, lettuce, yoghurt, pecan nuts, french vinaigrette
-Vegetable stir with eggs and curry

I’m all alone tonight. Bear is travelling. (How can I complain I’m just the same!) But it is different to be the one travelling or the one waiting patiently waiting at home. To cheer me up, I prepared myself some vegetables. A plate full of veggies! So ate my sadness all up…sob, sob. Just teasing. Bear will be proud I wasn’t too lazy to make myself a proper meal this time. Yeah, this is usually what happens…when, he’s away, I usually just go truly lazy…

Pancakes stuffed with leek and aubergine béchamel

Vegetarian, Bento, Cuisine, Recipes, Zoé

Dinner
-Pancakes
-Leek and aubergine bechamel stuffing
-Tomato sauce vegetable stir stuffing
-Apple stew with cinnamon stuffing

Bear is working a lot lately and it’s one of the first night he’s not on the road. Damn, two constant travellers living together, it’s not the easiest match.
So to celebrate that tonight, we are having pancakes and a little sip of our hometown wine.
We do enjoy pancakes. But as we were so happy to be in the kitchen together again we got a little creative and thought of some stuffing which would make these pancakes a little bit special.
We went through the fridge and played with ingredients! A real treat! Will you join?
