Chocolate cream and cookies

Vegetarian, Bento, Cuisine, Recipes, Zoé

Breakfast

-A glass of almond milk (homemade)
American vegan cookies
Chocolate cream pot

It’s all sunny these days and it makes me feel so happy. So why not add the pleasure of a nice breakfast? I did Bear’s favourite chocolate creams, with some vegan American style cookies. The chocolate creams are really easy to make and can be stored one week in the fridge, and Bear is so found of them! The vegan cookies are soft ones like those I tasted in Boston. And instead of the traditional glass of milk I preferred almond milk which is easier to make than soya milk, tastier (in my opinion) but a little more expensive.

Oh! And I did a I’m-on-diet-girly version of the chocolate cream pots with low-fat chocolate powder rather than chocolate.

Back from the market: apple chestnut bread

Vegetarian, Bento, Cuisine, Recipes, Zoé

Snack
Apple and chestnut bread with cheese spread
-Spring sprouts
-Fresh veggies: raw cauliflower, raw carrots, apples
-A glass of lemonade

We like to wander in the market on Saturday mornings under the pale sun of spring. Usually when we come back home with our bags full, we like to take a moment to sit and enjoy to eat some fresh vegetables with fresh homemade bread. For a change I went for a chestnut and apple flavoured bread.

Indian evening

Vegetarian, Bento, Cuisine, Recipes, Zoé

Dinner
Spicy cabbage and pea
Caramelised turnip
Red rice with red beans
-Coffee

Bear had time to join me for dinner tonight. Meaning, that for once he wasn’t on the road. So while waiting I tried to put together dinner. And here’s what’s new: Indian spicy red cabbage and pea (which is usually done with a green cabbage) and caramelised turnips. The spice of the cabbage and pea dish is calmed down with the sweet turnips. Rice and red beans were added to balance the meal. I set the table with a nice cloth, the Sunday plates, and lit a few candles to make it a little special.
